Ken Giles was born in 1958 in Omagh although he now lives and works in Belfast.
He has been painting since he was 17 and he gained a BA Honours in Design at the University of Ulster.
His first exhibition was at the Progressive Building Society in Belfast in 1974. He has exhibited in group shows in London, Dublin and Melbourne. Some of his works have also been selected for the Royal Ulster Academy. His works can be found in restaurants and hotels in Cork and London.
Ken usually paints in acrylic, oils and watercolour and is an abstract painter. He works from abstract objects in the environment. He has also been commissioned to paint portraits.
